Quartz is a natural composite, consisting of the elements silicon and oxygen. It is a favourite choice for countertops in New Jersey due to its many benefits over other materials. Quartz cannot be scratched by acidic substances such as vinegar or lemon juice, which can greatly extend the lifespan of your countertop in any kitchen, modern or traditional.

In production process, pigment can be added in these engineered quartz counters in variety of colors resulting in rustic and bright metallic colors and texture. Quartz is a heavy material which requires removal of sink and backsplash during the installation process. Quartz Countertops FAQs Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the quartz countertops?

Quartz is a stone countertop choice for those who want durability and longevity, as it is less likely to scratch or chip. So many people like the look of natural stone but quartz will never change color (from acidic substances such as lemon juice) and it's low maintenance--no need to seal them! They're made from natural sand crystals, so they're an ecological and sustainable material. Quartz varies in color, not all pieces are white like "crystal." Some quartz comes in pink, browns and even black (especially if there's iron mixed into the sand). They offer a nice range of colors which fit better with your table top surface than laminate would without sacrificing durability.

  • How much does a quartz countertop cost?

Quartz countertops vary in price from region to region and depending on the level of quality. In Atlanta, for example, average wholesale prices run $40-$80 per square foot. If your countertops need to be cut and edged - an additional charge - it could add $120-$250 or more to the project cost. Cutting installation costs could also reduce costs if simple strips will suffice because many contractors will use them instead of running new bolts through cabinets and walls. This means you can expect installation costs around $135-400/square foot which would add up to $1,650 or so for both sides of a 36" by 72" kitchen island.

  • Is quartz cheaper than granite?

The stones in a quartz counter top are less expensive than granite because they require less mining and polishing due to their natural clarity. There is also a lower weight in the stone itself. Quartz can be found in various colours making it great for colour coordinated kitchen applications. Quartz may not be as durable as granite depending on the application, but it is definitely cheaper when put side by side with alternative options such as marble or concrete counters.

  • What's cheaper quartz or marble?

Quartz countertops are typically less expensive than marble countertops. This is because quartz is a synthetic material, while marble is a natural stone. Marble can also be more difficult to work with, which increases the cost of installation.
